We are proud to further expand its partnership with Nicalis, Inc. by announcing the upcoming physical release of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap for Nintendo Switch TM and PlayStationⓇ4 at major retailers in Europe as well as Australia/NZ. Headup Games and Nicalis are partnering with DotEmu for this retail release.
Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a beautifully drawn and animated remake of the unforgettable Sega Master System game Wonder Boy III. Cursed and turned into a half-human, half-lizard monstrosity by the Meka Dragon, our hero will have to explore the many traps of Monster Land in order to find a cure. The game’s developer, Lizardcube, reverse-engineered the original game in order to faithfully replicate the character movements, item drop logic, secret door locations and much more.
“The Wonder Boy saga on the Sega Master System was my personal Zelda when I was a little kid, and being able to give Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap the full physical retail treatment it deserves fills me with great joy.” says Headup Games founder Dieter Schoeller. “We’ve hold the deepest respect for DotEmu and Nicalis, and are proud to collaborate with these two outstanding partners.”
The Switch and PS4™ versions of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap are presented in widescreen HD, with enhanced interface functions, a new playable character (Wonder Girl) and the option to toggle between the all-new hand-drawn visuals and the original graphics. The retail editions of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap are currently planned for release in the first quarter of 2018 with an MSRP of €39.99.
Sheeple's finally lost it! He is convinced that everything's just part of a giant videogame and that he was coded to simply be a side-character. Which is why he decided to recode himself to become the villain instead... Can you defeat his nefarious levels and come out of it unscathed? Good luck!
“The best 2D platforming game of the year so far is SLIME-SAN. Gross, fun & challenging.” That's right, Brian Altano from IGN, and that was only 2017. This year will be EVEN slimier!
Slime-san's second DLC Slime-san: Sheeple's Sequel is now available on Steam. Like the first DLC, this will be a FREE update to everyone who owns Slime-san, however, you can also individually purchase Sheeple's Sequel for only 4$!
In other news... Slime-san on the Nintendo Switch will soon receive its first DLC as well and the Xbox One & PS4 releases aren't far away either. Haven't checked out the manifold awarded Slime-san yet? Well, it's about time then!
Slime-san: Sheeple's Sequel is the second major DLC for Slime-san, the fourth major game developed by Fabraz. The three previous titles being Planet Diver, Cannon Crasha and Wild Wild Pixel. Slime-san is a game that is fun down to its very core. A silly story, with an unlikely character and gameplay that is addictively fast. It features hours of single-player content yet is tailored for speedrunners as well.
About the new DLC
The very core mechanics and level design lend themselves to be played competitively online. It is a visually unique adventure using a carefully crafted, 5 color palette world that is filled with fun and goofy Japanese references. It also has a soundtrack that is worth the price alone, featuring some of the most popular chiptune composers in the world! Published by Headup Games.

Headup Games and Studio Fizbin are very excited to announce today's release of The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk on iOS & Android. The sequel of the award-winning adventure game The Inner World has been released on PC, Mac, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One recently - now mobile adventurers are invited to accompany Robert, Laura and the charming pigeon Peck on their second adventure. You will find the game on iTunes and Google Play at a price of $4.99, 5.49 € or £4.99.
The Inner World - The Last Wind Monk is full of crazy (and adorable) characters, among them Emil, the new bad guy, Foggo the flutenose hunter and the clearly charming pigeon Peck:
The game is currently nominated as the “Best Mobile Game 2017”, "Best German Game 2017", "Best Story" and "Best Indie Game" at the German Developer Awards 2017 and received a nomination for the “TOMMI” Children’s Software Awards 2017.
About The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk
Solve mind-bending puzzles in a world full of mystery and save the family of the flute-noses! Their dynasty has been watching over Asposia for centuries and in secret, they fill the roly-poly world with light and life. But when their existence is discovered, they become hunted. Emil, a trader for odds and ends, has made all the Asposians believe that the dynasty is in cahoots with dark forces. The only one who can stop the evil Emil is Robert, the heir to the throne. The only problem is that Robert has been petrified in stone for three years.
With a huge dose of enthusiasm, but little to no idea what he’s actually doing, Robert embarks on an adventure to find the legendary last wind monk. Of course, he has some great company: Peck, as loyal as he is flightless and Laura, a rebel who certainly does fly, but only off the handle - and who Robert loves, with a capital ‘L’. Everything changes however, when they meet the mysterious Mama Dola, who seems to know more about Robert’s destiny than Robert would like.

In cooperation with the German production company btf, Headup Games announces the atmospheric mystery adventure game Trüberbrook. Truber-what? Well, imagine “Twin Peaks” meeting “The X-Files”, but in rural cold-war Germany.
During the estimated gameplay length of 7 to 10 hours, the player takes the role of young American physicist Hans Tannhauser, who, while actually on a holiday, dives into the everyday life of the mysterious village of Trüberbrook – just to find out he hadn’t got there by accident. He’s here to save the world!
This morning, Trüberbrook's Kickstarter campaign went live, so we appreciate any postings on social networks and gaming websites about this unique project.
Trüberbrook's producers btf is mostly known for their infamous late-night show “Neo Magazin Royale” in German TV with Jan Böhmermann. The game was co-funded by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and will be published by Headup Games. The release is scheduled for late 2018 for Windows, Mac, Linux (all DRM free & via Steam), PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in both English and German versions.
In order to immerse the player to the fullest, the team chose to physically build the world we envisioned, resulting in a unique, distinct visual style. All of our scenic sets are genuinely handmade. 'Handmade' as in: 'Manufactured using real hands! And fingers! Not the most efficient way of doing things, but we're loving it! Every little detail is custom built, meticulously crafted, piece by piece, painted, arranged, rearranged and put into boxes in between. If you were wondering...yes, there is glue involved. Lots of glue!
